Before the Adult chess tournament, we celebrated Sherman Cunningham's 58th birthday and had a party with pizza, cookies and cake. Sherman had a wonderful day over the chess board finishing with 2.5 in a tie for 1st place in the Open section.
Reminder:
The Community Chess Club of Rochester (CCCR) will be having their USCF-rated G/80d5 game on THURSDAY this week (Dec. 26th) and next THURSDAY (Jan. 2nd) because the regular Wednesday schedule falls on Christmas Day and New Years Day. The Chess Center is also open for chess and store sales on the Saturdays during the upcoming holidays.
