Aug 17 - Annual CCCR Chess Simultaneous. Simultaneous is at 7:30pm. There will be pizza & beverages at 6:30pm! Prizes! Sign-up at the chess center. Check out this flyer.
Update: Congratulations to CCCR Club Champion David Phelps for 11 Wins, 4 Draws and 2 Losses in a field of 17 opponents. There were many exciting games to watch. Congratulations to the two players who scored Wins: Jacob Snell and Jim Attaya! Congratulations to the players who scored draws: Dominic Shand, David B. Carr, Vinnie Basile and Joshua Stevens! OK, you had to have ENDURANCE to survive the marathon chess simultaneous this year... it started at 7:30pm and the last game with Joshua Stevens finished at 11:30pm! It certainly paid off for Joshua Stevens after the 4-hour mark as Joshua once again showed why his is known as the Draw Master! Thanks to everyone who participated to help make this a great night of chess to remember! Those who won their games against the Club Champion received prizes of super-sized magnetic analysis boards. Those who drew received new hardcover scorebooks.
