2nd Annual Matt Parry Memorial CCCR Championship: Oct 1, 8, 15 & 22 (2025)

Matt Parry was the Community Chess Club's Champion in 2008

The first round of the 2nd Annual Matt Parry Memorial CCCR Championship will take place Wednesday night October 1, 2025, at the Chess Center in Rochester. The games will have the time control G/80d5 and is a Swiss Event to be played over four consecutive Wednesday nights, one round per week.

Snacks will be provided for chess players and spectators.  Registration ends at 7:15pm on Oct. 1st on-site at the Chess Center.  This is a members-only event.  

Other Rated Games: We will also have US Chess rated games for players not participating in the club championship tournament. These games will also have time control G/80d5.

US Chess Membership is required for all rated games (you can join on-site). Fees: Cash or checks only for entry fees and CCCR membership, but credit/debit is OK for US Chess Membership.  There is a chess store on-site & a snack bar. Visitors are welcome. We have volunteers and club officers who can provide an introduction to organized chess in Rochester and help you get started.
